Payment Options

As we continue to build our practice, additional insurance options will become available. Please check back in if you do not see your insurance listed here, or contact us for additional information.

Please be aware that not all clinicians at this site are able to submit claims to all listed insurance companies. See details below, and be sure to check back to see updated options.

Unsung Psychotherapy utilizes a sliding scale system when clients pay out of pocket. We base sliding scale contracts on the Green Bottle model. This allows us to ensure our therapists are fairly paid while creating equitable and accessible options for community members who have less financial security.

The Green Bottle Method is a tool created by Alexis J. Cunningfolk to support economic justice when offering a sliding scale.

The three categories within the Green Bottle Method:

  • The highest dollar cost reflects the true cost of the therapeutic services; this is what our practitioners would charge in the absence of a sliding scale. This category is for you if you have access to financial security, have personal savings, own property, or rent a higher-end home, and are able to pay for “wants” and comfortably cover your basic needs. Unsung Psychotherapy’s true costs are as follows:
    • $235 for the initial diagnostic assessment
    • $200 per 55-minute session
    • $150 per 45-minute session
    • $100 per 30-minute session
  • The middle cost is for you if you have access to a steady income, but you struggle to build savings and carefully consider how you spend expendable income, such as on new clothes or vacations. If you fall in this category but can access financial support, we encourage you to tap into those resources before using those of the sliding scale.
  • The bottom cost is for you if you would be otherwise unable to afford or access these services without a considerably lower price point. You may struggle to meet needs such as housing, healthcare, food, and childcare, live paycheck to paycheck, and be in significant debt that prohibits you from meeting basic needs.

Please note: Unsung Psychotherapy has a sliding scale budget, meaning we will not be able to financially meet the need of every client who needs to access medium or bottom costs. Should we be at our sliding scale limit when you request services, we can put you on a waitlist, and you will be contacted when funds become available.
